Exposition
There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 4.00 to 5.00 pm this Sunday.  We are not having regular Sunday devotions during Lent this year but this is an opportunity as part of your Lenten devotions for some quiet time before Our Lord.

Baptism
Today we welcome Lennon James Kennedy into God’s family.  We are asked to pray for James, his family, and all preparing for baptism.

Rite of Election
The service at the Cathedral last Sunday was very moving and inspiring.  Our two candidates Bianca and Elsie, and their sponsors, thoroughly enjoyed the service.  To see scores of people being presented to the Bishop, by their sponsor, wanting to come into the Church encourages not only candidates who appreciate that they are not on their own in making this important commitment but is also a source of inspiration for us all to know that many people do wish to join us as a community of faith.  Please keep Bianca and Elsie and all those who will be received into the Church at Easter in your prayers.

Journey of Faith   will meet on Tuesday evening at 7.00 pm

New Head for St Benet Biscop High School and Executive Head for St Bede’s Primary School
As mentioned briefly at the end of Mass last week, I am delighted to announce that Mr Con Todd has been appointed as Head and Executive Head to St Benet’s and St Bede’s respectively.  In the interviews I was impressed by his ambitions for both schools, his commitment to the Catholic ethos of the schools, strong commitment to work in partnership with Catholic Primary Schools and the local parishes, and finally there was a strong sense that his leadership will be working collaboratively with staff.  I am very pleased with this appointment.  On your behalf I wish to offer him every blessed and best wishes of support as he takes up this important role.

CAFOD
Family Fast Day was last Friday 2nd March, please leave your envelopes in the Narthex.  Our thanks to Tino and Jackie Manai for hosting a coffee morning on behalf of CAFOD.
