St Bede’s Primary and St Benet’s High School  At a special meeting of the governors of St Benet’s and the interim executive board of St Bede’s,  on Monday evening it was agreed that the schools will become federated from 1st February 2013.  The schools are still two distinct entities with separate funding but now there is one set of governors for both schools.  The advantage of this is to allow for greater cooperation and more flexibility with staff.  This proposal has the full support of the diocese and the local education authority.
