Annual Mass for Healing
This will take place this Friday, followed by afternoon tea. The Mass is for the housebound, sick, and anyone else who would like to receive the sacrament of anointing. After anointing we hope to have pupils from St Bede’s join us for the Mass and tea afterwards. My thanks to the SVP for organising and hosting this important event in the life of the parish.
SVP National raffle tickets on sale this weekend.
Youth Sunday
Next week is Youth Sunday when we are asked to reflect on young people in our parishes. The Mass next week at 11.00 am will have a strong focus on young people. We will have the next liturgy in the First Holy Communion programme which is focusing on ’Forgiveness’. We will also have the enrolment of the candidates for confirmation for next year. One of the candidates will share something about their faith as will one of the confirmation catechist team. The Mass will be an opportunity to support and celebrate the presence of young people in our community. A second collection will be taken for the youth ministry team.
RCIA - Journey of Faith continues on Thursday evening at 6.00 pm.
John O’Neill will continue his exploration of Mark’s Gospel. If you would like to know more about the scriptures I would recommend these sessions.
