In the evenings there will be the following at 7.00 pm  The first four evenings will be focusing on the significance of the sacrament of baptism, and what that means for our understanding of Jesus Christ and for our discipleship of him.  I would encourage as many of you as possible to take part.  I am grateful to those parishioners who have been involved with the preparations and it would be good to support them in what they are doing on our behalf.

Please keep the mission in your prayers this week.  Our focus must be Jesus who calls us to share in the life of God.  I hope this week brings us closer to Jesus and deepens our love and knowledge of Him.  You are all very welcome to all the events that are taking place during the week, that includes the Jubilee Mass.  I am delighted to say that members of my family, friends and various people I have come into contact over the past twenty five years will be joining us for the Mass.  A special warm welcome to Fr John Gibbons, a former curate of the parish who will be preaching at the Jubilee Mass.
