Journey of Faith
The journey of faith programme continues on Wednesday evening at 7.00 pm.
Christ in the World group
The next meeting of this group will be 2lst February at 7.00 pm. We will be exploring ‘prayer lives and busy lives’.
Pastoral Visit by Bishop Seamus
Bishop Seamus will be making a pastoral visit to the parish as part of his visit to parishes in the deanery on the weekend of 22/23rd March. The Bishop will preside at the Masses and will informally meet parishioners afterwards.
Lenten Day of Recollection
For the first time we are going to have a day of recollection during Lent. This will take place on Saturday 15th March. We will be going to the Friary at Alnmouth. I will be sharing about my retreat that I am going to in February which will include looking at the Passion and Resurrection accounts in St John’s gospel. If you would like to take part please sign the sheet in the Narthex.
Baptismal Catechesis in the Parish
As mentioned in previous weeks the way we prepare and celebrate the sacrament of baptism in the parish is going to be radically different. Please see information sheet about this in the Narthex.
Mission Workshop
Calling all young people of Northumberland: a mission workshop is taking place on Sunday 9th March here at St Bede’s, 3.00 to 4.30 pm. If you are interested in attending the workshop, please tell your parish priest Further details on poster in Narthex.

· CAFOD warmly invite you to Fast Day Speaker Tour with Patrick Jamiru, Director of Caritas Kenema, Sierra Leone on Thursday 20th February, St Joseph’s Parish Centre, High Street West, Gateshead. · Hilda of Northumbria A day of reflection for women led by Kathryn Turner, Head of the diocesan department for spirituality on Saturday 31st May 10.30 am to 4.00 pm at St Hilda’s Diocesan Resource Centre, Newcastle. Please bring a packed lunch.

The Great North Passion - a unique opportunity for Good Friday 2014
