Baptism
· Congratulations to all who were baptised last weekend. The joint celebrations of baptisms seems to have worked out well. It certainly brings out a sense of community. I also sense that probably four to five families in the same celebration would be the maximum.
· On Saturday, May 3rd, at 2.00pm we welcomed Mollie Niamh Burke into God’s family in baptism. We are asked to pray for Mollie Niamh, her family and all preparing for baptism.
· The next set of baptismal classes will be starting on 19th June.
Journey of Faith
Those who took part in the Journey of Faith programme have expressed an interest to carrying on with the discussions. As we have decided that there will be meetings on May 21st, June 25th and July 23rd at 7.00 pm. The topics have yet to be confirmed but I will let you know in due course
Christ in the World
The next meeting of the group on Friday 16th May will be discussing the place of Mary, Mother of Jesus in the Church.
Pentecost Service
My thanks to those who came to the meeting last Sunday to discuss the service we are having for Pentecost. The next meeting will be on Tuesday 13th May at 7.00 pm in the Presbytery.
Youth Mission to St Benet’s
· My thanks to those who spoke about the launch of the prayer card for the youth mission. We will say the prayer at the end of each weekend Mass from now till the start of the mission.
· The next meeting of the deanery group for the mission is on 15th May at 7.00 in the church hall.
