Pentecost
Today we celebrate the great event of the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the early church. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to be poured upon the church remembering especially our own community. May the Holy Spirit bring us into a deeper relationship in Christ and enable us to carry on with His ministry.
Welcome Back Sunday
This Sunday is deemed as Welcome Back Sunday so if there are any of you who have come to this community of faith please know you are very welcome. I hope that being part of this community is a source of faith, love and joy for you.
Pentecost Service
This is taking place on Sunday at 4.00 pm. This will be an ecumenical service led by our young people, the format of the service will be similar to the service we had at Advent with a combination of readings, music, drama and symbols to celebrate Pentecost. Those who have helped to prepare this service have shown a great deal of creativity and hard work. I would encourage as many of the parish to take part in this event. There will be a retiring collection after this service for youth ministry in the parish.
Special Collections
There will be a special collection this weekend for the Lay Training Fund. Please use the white envelope from your box.
CAFOD
Just a reminder that I am looking for a parish representative for CAFOD. Please contact me if you would be interested in taking up this role.
Parish Barbecue
The social committee are organising a parish barbecue for Saturday 5th July from 7.30 pm. Tickets will be available from members of the social committee. I would encourage as many of you as possible to take part . I appreciate that we are dependent on British weather but previous parish barbecues have been seen to be as an enjoyable success.

First Holy Communions will take place next Sunday (15t). We continue to pray for our First Holy Communion candidates and their families.
