Day for Life next week - the day in the Church’s year dedicated to celebrating the dignity of life - will this year call upon young people in particular to protect and cherish life from conception to natural death.
There will be a second collection next weekend for Day for Life. Please use the white envelope from your box.
Youth Mission to St Benet’s
The event to design posters went very well despite wet weather preventing an outside picnic. There are some very creative people in the deanery. I was proud to see that the biggest representation of young people from St Benet’s present was from St Bede’s. Our young people are going to finish their work in the presbytery on Tuesday 22nd July at 2.00pm. Any willing people to help us in this will be appreciated The mission prayer continues to be said at the end of weekend Masses. If I remember!
Carmelites
There will be a Carmelite meeting today (Sunday). All are welcome.
Centenary of World War 1
To commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of World War 1, St Paul’s, Cramlington is to hold a Prayer and Praise Service on Sunday 27th July at 3.00 pm. The service will consist of suitable hymns, intercessions, prayers and poetry. You are cordially invited by St Paul’s to attend.
