CAFOD Fast Day
To date CAFOD collection amounts to £400.88. As two years ago the UK government is matching pound for pound any donations CAFOD receives during this time up to three and a half million pounds. Thank you for your generosity.
Gift Aid and Planned Giving
Planned Giving boxes for the new financial year are available in the Narthex today. They are in alphabetical surname order.
If you are new to the parish and would like to support the parish through the envelope scheme please give your name and contact number to one of the doormen in the Narthex. Should your details have changed ie address, contact number, or no longer a tax payer please let us know. More people are choosing to make their donations by standing order. If you wish to alter your method of payment please give your name to one of the doormen in the Narthex, (or the gift aid organiser Pat Bateman) on how you alter your manner of giving.
Many thanks for your continued financial support.
Parish email address
We are still having problems getting to the parish email account. At least for the time being. If you wish to contact me by email please use: bedebedlington@live.co.uk
SVP National raffle tickets will be on sale next weekend.
St Bede’s School & St Benet’s School
This is an important time of new beginnings for both our schools. Today St Benet’s High School along with St Paul’s First School and St Peter’s Middle School in Cramlington becomes part of the Pax Christi Academy. A new board of governors for St Bede’s school also comes into being today. Please pray for all staff, pupils, the new board of directors for the Academy and the new governing body of St Bede’s.
Moving Forward In Hope
The next step of the process is for the diocese to give us a full list of the criteria on which the questionnaires will be based on. We will have more information later this month.
