Twentieth Anniversary
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all who helped to contribute to such a wonderful day on Sunday as we celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the opening of the church. Special thanks to all involved with the catering. It was a wonderful spread, thanks for all your hard work and generosity. I would also like to express my thanks to Vincente Stienlet for sharing in our celebrations and for a most enlightening and fascinating talk on the design of the church, lots of food for future sermons!
All Saint’s and All Souls
Thursday is a Holyday of Obligation. There will be a vigil Mass at 7.30 pm and 10.00 am on Thursday morning.
Confirmation
I have sent a letter to Years 9 and 10 pupils in our parish. If there is anyone else not in year 9 or 10 but older who would like to be confirmed or does not attend St Benet’s please let me know if you would like to be confirmed by 12th November. Confirmations will be led by Bishop Cunningham on 3rd May next year.
RCIA - Journey of Faith programme started on Thursday. As we begin the Year of Faith this is an excellent opportunity, especially for those who have never attended a journey of faith programme to learn and reflect on their faith. John O’Neil will begin each session with a teaching element and I will finish each session with a reflection on John’s input on what this means on living out the Christian faith. This week John will continue his brief overview of the Old Testament
