Ministers of Eucharist
First of all, just a reminder that the renewal of promised will be at the Masses for Corpus Christi this weekend, 1st and 2nd June. I am aware of a number of special ministers that they are away this weekend, therefore, there will be an opportunity to renew promises at the Masses for the following weekend. For those special ministers not able to make the meeting on Thursday please see forms in the Narthex enquiring about your availability to lead Communion Services and visit the sick and housebound.

Restructuring of Deanery Date for your diary
It would be important to have an open meeting of the parish to explore what the restructuring of the deanery will mean for St Bede’s. This will take place on Sunday 9th June after 10.00 am Mass. I would also like to discuss how lay people will need to be more involved when there is not a full time priest in the parish

St Bede’s Day Celebrations and Parish Barbecue
I would like to offer a note of thanks to all who contributed to the Mass and the barbecue to celebrate the feast of our patron St Bede. We were very blessed and fortunate with the weather and I thoroughly enjoyed the Mass and the barbecue in honour of our patron.
The late Alan Langan
The members of Alan Langan’s family have kindly asked that instead of flowers they would like donations to be given to our parish since St Bede’s meant so much to Alan. I would like to thank the family for their generous and moving gesture which I know will be appreciated not only by myself but by the many people who respected and admired Alan and who will also miss his presence in the parish.
